Entropy Studies - Imagined Relics
Decay observed, photographed and digitally reconstructed.
Exploring weathering, transformation and the accidental forms created by time.
Entropy Studies grew from my enduring fascination with entropy—the processes of decay, ageing and transformation.
For almost three decades, I've photographed rust, peeling paint and weathered industrial surfaces, building an extensive archive of images that forms the raw material for these works.
Each composition is constructed from photographs chosen for the ways their colours, textures and forms interact. Layer by layer, forgotten and overlooked surfaces are transformed into new structures, atmospheres and imagined relics.
